My Story
Hi, I’m Annett in real life, but when I write psychological thrillers, I go by A.G.R. Goff.
I was born in Leipzig, East Germany, thirteen years before the Berlin Wall came down—a time and place marked by division and secrets. Those early experiences shaped how I see the world, and since then, life has taken me on a winding journey:
Twelve years across Brentwood, Essex, London, and Ross-on-Wye in the UK, where I absorbed the landscapes and stories, especially through the eyes of my late British husband, Andy. Then a decade in George, South Africa, where new shadows and truths opened up my perspective even more.
Now, I’m diving into a new chapter in Málaga, Spain—ready for the dark, and unexpected twists life might throw my way.
Writing novels wasn’t something I planned, but stories have always haunted me—pulling me toward the darker edges of human nature. I’m fascinated by what lurks beneath the surface:
Love twisted by betrayal, secrets that fester in silence, and the fragile line between sanity and madness. These are the themes I explore in my books, peeling back the layers of the mind to reveal what drives us to our breaking points.
