My Story

Hi, I’m A.G.R. Goff — writer of psychological thrillers.

Born in Leipzig, East Germany, thirteen years before the fall of the Berlin Wall, I grew up in a world marked by division, silence and hidden truths — foundations that still shape how I understand people and the secrets they guard.

Life then took me through Brentwood, Essex, London and Ross-on-Wye in the UK, where new landscapes and perspectives unfolded, many of them coloured by the years spent with my late British husband, Andy. A decade in George, South Africa followed, adding its own shadows, contrasts and revelations to my view of human nature.

Now based in Málaga, Spain, I’m entering a new chapter — one that continues to feed the dark undercurrents and quiet tensions that find their way into my work.

Becoming a novelist was never a planned path. Stories simply persisted: threads of betrayal, the weight of unspoken truths, and the fragile boundary between stability and collapse. These are the forces that drive my books, where I peel back psychological layers to explore what pushes people to their limits.
